Work Setting: In-person (no remote work)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and assist the dentist during procedures and treatments
  • Sterilize, organize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment
  • Prepare dental materials, including fillings, impression materials, and compounds
  • Take and process dental X-rays in accordance with safety standards
  • Polish teeth and clinical crowns; apply fluoride and dental sealants
  • Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts and assist with treatment planning
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care

Administrative & Clerical Duties:
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient records
  • Prepare invoices and process payments
  • Record dental procedures performed
  • Order dental and office supplies

Intra-Oral Duties (as permitted):
  • Remove sutures and take vital signs
  • Apply topical anesthetics, desensitizing, and anti-cariogenic agents
  • Perform coronal whitening
  • Fabricate, place, and remove temporary crowns and restorations
  • Apply and remove rubber dams
  • Conduct pulp vitality testing, periodontal screening, and charting

Qualifications:
  • Certified Registered Dental Assistant (RDA II) with current provincial licensing
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Experience with dental software is an asset
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
